New-Indy acquires Georgia-Pacific’s Reliable Container with facilities in Santa Fe Springs, CA and Tijuana, Mexico

New-Indy JV Corp., a 50/50 joint venture between The Kraft Group and Schwarz Partners, today announced that it has reached an agreement with Georgia-Pacific to acquire Reliable Container with facilities located in Santa Fe Springs, California and Tijuana, Mexico. These facilities serve a broad range of customers, producing a variety of custom corrugated containers and point of purchase displays.

New-Indy issued the following statement. “The agreement to acquire Reliable Container coupled with additional investments in Southern California and Mexico will build upon its excellent market reputation. Reliable Container will join the New-Indy Tripaq-Group, with locations in Cerritos, California and Ontario, California, as the West Coast converting operations of New-Indy Packaging.  These converting facilities align very well with the strategic integration of New-Indy Containerboard’s mill assets.”

We expect the transaction to close mid-October and do not anticipate any disruption to our customers.
